Ricardo Cesar

As co-CEO at Ideal Hill + Knowlton Strategies, Ricardo Cesar leads the relationship with most of the agency´s biggest clients and has a strong record of crisis management. ​

Ricardo Cesar started his career at S2 PR Agency supporting the Microsoft Corporate Communications team in the 90s. From there, he went on to work as an editor and correspondent in London for IDG, the largest IT and telecommunications publisher in the US back in the 90’s. He was one of the first Brazilian journalists to follow the development of social media in the US and Europe. He also worked at Valor Econômico, Brazil’s largest business and financial daily newspaper, and at EXAME, Brazil’s most prestigious and biggest business magazine. Ricardo left EXAME in September 2007 to be one of the founders of Agencia Ideal, that later became the fifth biggest PR and corporate communications agency in Brazil. In 2015, Ideal was merged with the Brazilian operation of H+K Strategies and was rebranded as Ideal H+K Strategies.​

Ricardo Cesar holds a B.A degree in Communications (Journalism) by the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo (ECA – USP) and a post-graduation course of “Management of communications with the market” from FGV-EAESP , one of the most prestigious business schools in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
