Frans van der Grint is Strategy Director and advises businesses on a wide range of strategic communication challenges. Focusing on corporate Changes and Crises, he has extensive experience in litigation, financial, campaigning and publicity communication issues. He is also acting as a strategic communication consultant to Boards of Directors and Supervisory Directors, among others in issue management and high-profile M&A transactions.
Mr Van der Grint is leading teams involved in challenging national and cross border communications projects. He handles campaigns in complex and influential cases, mobilizing a wide range of stakeholder groups. He has broad experience in positioning businesses and products, in both national and international contexts. His expertise also comprises the development and management of multinational campaigns.
Mr Van der Grint leads the European Practice for Financial+M&A Communications of Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
Mr Van der Grint is a renowned media trainer and management coach and received highly acclaimed European and international awards for high-profile campaigns. He was elected ‘Best PR Consultant in M&A’ in 2012. Mr Van der Grint is a regular speaker at seminars and universities and spiritual father of the Battlefield Communications approach. He also developed methods for modern M&A Communication and stakeholder management.
Frans van der Grint became CEO of Hill +Knowlton Nederland in 2000 and stepped back in 2007 to become Strategy Director. Mr Van der Grint’s previous positions include Director Communication at Nutricia and Numico and Group Director Marketing Communication when he first joined Hill+Knowlton. He was Group Manager at the JRPM PR consultancy. Before his move into consultancy, he was a newspaper journalist for six years.
Mr Van der Grint is married and father of two children. He holds various board and other positions in associations and foundations, both professionally and privately.
